We're seeking a dedicated and skilled Accountant to join our Finance team, based at our office in Clayton.

As a key member of the Pro AV Solutions Finance team, you will play a crucial role in managing month-end processes, overseeing daily financial operations, and supporting regional activities.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will ensure accuracy in financial reporting, handle banking reconciliations, and provide key insights to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Handle daily General Ledger account activities and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Banking & Reconciliation: Manage daily banking tasks, reconcile accounts, authorise payments, and liaise with the bank for business requests.
  • Month-End Processing: Oversee and execute end of month (EOM) tasks, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements.
  • BAS Lodgement: Prepare and lodge BAS for relevant entities.
  • Payroll & Accounts Payable (AP): Support payroll and oversee the AP function for the region.
  • Forecasting & Budgeting: Prepare quarterly forecasts, assist in annual budgeting, and provide support for annual audits.
  • Tax Preparation: Assist in preparing annual tax returns, including income tax and FBT returns.
  • Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow and assist in managing some AP/AR functions.
  • Ad Hoc Support: Assist in finance-related tasks specific to VIC operations and provide monthly reports to support your regional General Manager.

Technical Skills & Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is required.
  • At least 3 years experience in a similar role is essential.
  • CPA membership is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in ERP finance systems and Microsoft O365 is necessary.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
  • The ability to work well in a dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently is essential.
  • Previous experience managing a team is preferred.
