Accountant Position at Pro AV Solutions

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Accountant to join our Finance team, based at our office in Clayton. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Manage the general ledger account activities, ensure accurate reporting, and oversee daily financial operations.
  • Banking & Reconciliation: Handle banking tasks, reconcile accounts, authorise payments, and liaise with the bank for business requests.
  • Month-End Processing: Oversee and execute end-of-month tasks, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements.
  • BAS Lodgement: Prepare and lodge BAS for relevant entities.
  • Payroll & Accounts Payable (AP): Support payroll and oversee the AP function for the region.
  • Forecasting & Budgeting: Prepare quarterly forecasts, assist in annual budgeting, and provide support for annual audits.
  • Tax Preparation: Assist in preparing annual tax returns, including income tax and FBT returns.
  • Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow and assist in managing some AP/AR functions.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, CPA membership is desirable. Proficiency in ERP finance systems and Microsoft O365 is required. Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Technical Skills & Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
  • Experience: 3-5 years experience in a similar role
  • Professional Certifications: CPA membership is desirable
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in ERP finance systems and Microsoft O365
Estimated Salary Range:

A competitive remuneration package of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum is on offer, depending on experience.
