Drug Court Case Manager

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Drug Court Case Manager. This role plays a vital part in ensuring community safety by overseeing offenders with drug and alcohol dependencies.

This specialist position offers ongoing learning and development opportunities, as well as the chance to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.

About the Role

Our Drug Court Case Managers monitor and supervise offenders who have been sentenced to serve a Drug Treatment Order in the community. Based in Melbourne, you will manage a caseload of offenders with diverse order requirements aimed at reducing reoffending risks. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting risk assessments to identify areas of concern;
  • Preparing case plans that address underlying causes of offending;
  • Providing interventions to support offenders in their recovery; and
  • Directing and monitoring compliance with offender's court order obligations.

You will also be responsible for working closely with stakeholders, including legal professionals, social workers, and healthcare providers, to ensure seamless delivery of services.

Key Responsibilities

Some key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing complex/high-profile caseloads;
  • Conducting thorough assessments and developing effective intervention strategies;
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports, as required; and
  • Contributing to the development of policies and procedures to improve service delivery.

A relevant qualification in social work, human services, criminal justice, or criminology is desirable, as is experience in a related field.
