Key Role Summary:

The head of business development is a strategic leader responsible for driving growth and expansion across the region.

Success relies on an exceptional understanding of the market, ability to forge and sustain strong working relationships, and commitment to executing end-to-end business development initiatives that align with the company's strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and execute growth strategies to expand the company's footprint in Australia.
  2. Identify and leverage new market opportunities, partnerships, and channels to solidify the company's presence in the country.
  3. Drive new ventures from concept through to completion, ensuring flawless execution across every phase, engaging multiple internal stakeholders throughout.
  4. Build and maintain long-term relationships with strategic partners, including airport landlords and district health leaders/liaisons.
  5. Serve as the primary point of contact for new business queries, facilitating clear and proactive communication to optimise commercial and rental terms.
  6. Partner with internal teams to ensure project milestones are met, budgets are maintained, and resources are allocated effectively.
  7. Track and analyse performance metrics on key business development initiatives, using insights to drive continuous improvement.
  8. Maintain accurate records of the portfolio and provide reliable reporting on future changes and cost projections.
Requirements:
  1. Proven track record of building strategic partnerships and delivering measurable growth.
  2. Ability to manage multiple tasks, relationships, and stakeholders end to end.
  3. Strong negotiation, presentation, analytical, and communication skills.
  4. Strategic thinker with the ability to transform insights into impactful business strategies.
  5. Understanding of retail lease legislation.
