About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Policy Officer to join our team in the Access and Inclusion Branch within the Early Childhood Outcomes Commissioning Directorate.

This is an ongoing opportunity available in our dynamic and collaborative environment. As one of our Senior Policy Officers, you will be involved in supporting our early childhood education outcomes by managing the development and implementation of a range of policy and complex projects which contribute to the delivery of policy initiatives and reforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of policies and projects that ensure all children in NSW can access and participate in early childhood programs on the same basis as their peers.
  • Analyse and interpret policies in a timely manner, providing policy advice to inform decision-making.
  • Prepare correspondence, written reports, publications, and briefs to communicate key findings and recommendations.
Requirements
  • A commitment to principles of diversity and inclusion, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively within the Early Education and Care, Community Programs or Government sectors.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and/or experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience working with policy and programs with a strong focus on access and participation outcomes for children within the Early childhood years.
  • Experience working in a Team Leaders role within a programs commissioning framework.
  • Understanding and experience within the Early Childhood Education, Access & Participation or Government sector.
