As a critical component of the Federal Government's IT infrastructure in Canberra, we require an Incident and Problem Manager to oversee ICT incidents from initiation to resolution. This role involves driving root cause prevention and ensuring seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • The successful candidate will lead major incident responses, coordinating technical teams to restore services efficiently.
  • Classify, prioritize, escalate, resolve, and close incidents in line with industry standards.
  • Monitor incident trends, deliver timely reports, and maintain clear stakeholder communication.
Problem Management
  • Document and manage problems to implement permanent fixes.
  • Facilitate post-incident reviews to identify areas for improvement.
  • Govern the Known Error Database (KEDB) and collaborate with change and release teams.
Requirements
  • Proven experience managing enterprise-level IT incident and problem management functions.
  • Strong knowledge of best practices in IT service management.
  • Experience coordinating major incident response across technical and business teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to lead governance and continuous improvement activities in high-pressure environments.
