Stormwater Engineering Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Civil Stormwater Engineer to lead the design and delivery of stormwater drainage systems, WSUD, and OSD projects. This role requires expertise in stormwater software (e.g., DRAINS, MUSIC, HECRAS, TUFLOW, Civil 3D) and a strong understanding of Australian Standards, WSUD principles, and OSD guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in stormwater and drainage engineering, ideally within a consultancy environment. They should also possess project management and team leadership skills, as well as excellent communication and report-writing abilities.

  • Lead the design and delivery of stormwater drainage systems, WSUD, and OSD projects.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Liaise with clients, councils, and regulatory authorities to ensure design compliance.
  • Provide technical mentoring and support to junior engineers and designers.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, modelling outputs, and detailed design documentation.
  • Contribute to proposal writing, fee estimation, and business development activities.
Requirements
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in stormwater and drainage engineering, ideally within a consultancy environment.
  • Proficiency in stormwater software (e.g., DRAINS, MUSIC, HECRAS, TUFLOW, Civil 3D).
  • Strong understanding of Australian Standards, WSUD principles, and OSD guidelines.
  • Demonstrated project management and team leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • CPEng or working towards chartered status is highly desirable.
