About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic People and Culture Business Partner to join our team at dnata. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving business success by providing strategic HR support and guidance to our leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Cargo and Finance Directors and their leadership teams to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business to identify key HR opportunities and risks, and provide recommendations to mitigate these risks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, advising and coaching them on HR-related matters, and influencing action to drive business results.
  • Provide timely operational support, advice, and guidance to people leaders across the business on all people-related matters.
  • Work with the Director of People and Culture to facilitate and build the business's capability for change and people leaders' capability to effectively manage people during times of transformational change.
  • Report on and analyze key people metrics for the business, and provide insights to inform business decisions.
  • Be a key advocate in ensuring consistent and disciplined application of policies, standards, guidelines, tools, and frameworks, and knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Partner with various key stakeholders across the business, including safety, IR, Training, and HR, to ensure the highest level of compliance and employee engagement.
  • Gather insights to inform the design and roll-out of national P&C initiatives, and drive a consistent employee experience of national people initiatives at a site level.
  • Build the capability of leaders to drive annual people processes, and support leaders in Performance and Conduct Management, including performance improvement plans, absenteeism, investigation, and disciplinary processes.
  • Cultivate a culture of achievement, decisive action, and effective collaboration, and stay informed about employment legislation and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in projects as required.
OH & S Responsibilities
  • Comply with the dnata OHS Policy and related Group Policies.
  • Comply with legislative OH & S requirements.
  • Conduct work in accordance with the dnata's OH & S Management System and customer OH & S requirements.
  • Report immediately any hazard, injury, or near miss/hit.
  • Participate in emergency drills or evacuations.
  • Follow all safety work procedures, adhering to all safety guidelines provided.
  • Attend OH & S induction and training as directed by the business.
  • When applicable, wear the required personal protective clothing and equipment.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a HR/P&C Business Partner or HR/P&C Manager for a medium-sized company.
  • Experience with blue-collar and unionized workforce.
  • Well-developed ER & IR skills.
  • Understanding of key HR/P&C principles and practices.
  • Proven experience in business improvement and rolling out policies and procedures.
  • Proven and strong experience with liaising with senior stakeholders and ability to sustain effective working relationships across the business.
  • Proven skills in defining, prioritizing, and organizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems that may require the involvement of multiple stakeholders.
  • Well-developed communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a consultative manner and interact confidently with high levels of initiative.
  • Track record in successfully delivering key HR initiatives.
  • Minimum of 5 years' generalist experience.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline.
  • Willing to and able to travel as required.
Desirable Criteria
  • Intermediate level skills in MS Office, particularly in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
