Director, Credit Research Analyst

BlackRock's Fundamental Fixed Income (FFI) business manages over $1 trillion in global fixed income assets across various investment strategies.
The platform offers a broad array of investment solutions across model-based and fundamental investment styles.
Within FFI, the Global Securitized Team is responsible for analyzing new issues, secondary opportunities, and existing exposures, and managing Securitized strategies across BlackRock's fixed income portfolios, institutional clients' segregated mandates, and our Securitized pooled fund, with over $120 billion in assets under management.
BlackRock is seeking a Director-level credit research analyst to focus on the APAC Securitized market and Asset-Based Financing Opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive credit and cashflow analysis across the full capital structure of APAC Securitized transactions (such as RMBS, ABS, and other sub-sectors) to be presented to Securitized multi-sector portfolio managers.
- Undertake analysis for both primary and secondary opportunities considering relative value and potential alpha generation.
- Analyze and review transaction documentation.
- Review underwriting and servicing of transaction originators and servicers.
- Participate in dealer roadshows and onsite due diligence.
- Communicate with transaction parties, including arrangers and originators.
- Provide high-quality credit opinions to be presented to the European ABS team and analytical support for regular updates to clients on positions.
- Assess the ESG factors of a transaction and apply BlackRock's PEXT/NEXT framework.
- Track issuer, asset class, and industry trends.
- Considerable in-depth experience in the analysis of Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities.
- Experience with other asset classes will be an advantage.
- Understanding of the UK/European and APAC Securitized markets and regulatory landscape.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills essential for presenting credit opinions internally and for communicating with clients and other market participants.
- Solid understanding of reviewing legal documents from a credit risk perspective.
- A strong work ethic with a team-focused approach.
- Comfortable working within a disciplined investment process using both quantitative and qualitative tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and develop internal and external networks.
- Highly numerate and analytical with advanced Excel and Intex knowledge.
- Bachelor's Degree, ideally in a quantitative subject.
