Job Description

The Compensation and Benefits Specialist plays a pivotal role in the finance team, responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee payments.

This includes working collaboratively with the team to complete pay runs, managing the payroll system, and performing ad-hoc tasks as directed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Timely and accurate processing of all pay runs for employees and workers' compensation claims
  • End-to-end payroll process, including terminations, and maintaining payroll system integrity
  • Utilizing time and attendance payroll module
  • Performing ad-hoc tasks and other duties as directed, while practicing confidentiality
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking an individual with:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a payroll role, accounting or payroll qualification, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Demonstrated knowledge in complaint handling, employee relations, WHS, terminations, workers' compensations claims, policies and procedures, inclusion and diversity
  • Solid understanding of industry Enterprise Agreements, awards and NES
  • Excellent proficiency with MS Office products, especially Excel
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain successful relationships
