Senior Manager - Employee Relations

This pivotal role oversees and manages industrial and employee relations matters, partnering closely with senior leaders and divisional teams. The successful candidate will provide expert guidance on workplace legislation, drive best-practice policy development, and help shape a consistent, compliant, and constructive employee and industrial relations culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee industrial relations activities, including enterprise agreement negotiations, management of industrial action, and engagement with external stakeholders such as the Fair Work Commission and other tribunals.
  • Partner with operational leaders and technical specialists to provide guidance and support on strategic projects.
  • Lead the management and resolution of industrial disputes and related litigation, offering strategic advice throughout the process.
  • Provide expert employee relations advice on a range of complex matters, including policy development and reviews, organisational change, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:

The ideal candidate will hold a degree or qualification in HR, Industrial Relations, Employment Law, or related field, or equivalent experience. A strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act 2009 and related employment legislation is essential. Minimum 10 years' experience in complex, unionised workplaces, preferably with blue-collar workforces, is required.
