Job Title: Perioperative Services Manager

About the RoleThe Perioperative Services Manager plays a vital role in the strategic planning, commissioning, and operational management of the perioperative department.This key position requires a leader who can provide expertise and guidance to the perioperative team, working closely with the hospital executive team, VMOs, and other stakeholders to secure successful outcomes for patients, staff, and VMOs.Key Responsibilities:
  • Service Delivery:
  • Ensure high-quality and safe services are delivered to meet patient needs.
  • Leadership:
  • Lead the workforce with energy and effectiveness, fostering collaborative relationships with VMOs.
  • Financial Oversight:
  • Ensure rigorous financial oversight and operational efficiency, aligning service delivery with demand and activity targets.
  • Clinical Governance:
  • Embed clinical governance in daily work practice, ensuring adherence to National Safety and Quality Health Standards (NSQHS), ACORN, Sterilisation Services, and other relevant quality and clinical safety standards.
  • Team Management:
  • Provide effective clinical leadership to the Perioperative services team, ensuring training and development programs meet staff needs.
  • Operational Performance:
  • Enhance operational performance, promote innovation, and contribute to the formulation of strategic direction and related planning.
