Theatre Floor Manager Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to fill the Theatre Floor Manager position in our fast-paced, high-performing Perioperative Unit.

This role requires a strong, confident leader who can work independently and collaboratively to ensure the seamless delivery of perioperative services while effectively managing patients and staff.

Key responsibilities include management of 15 busy operating theatres for both elective and emergency procedures, working closely with a team of floor managers and neighboring unit managers to ensure smooth running of the complex.

A key aspect of this role is working with all theatre stakeholders to achieve excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Extensive current clinical practice in perioperative role
  • Desirable previous theatre floor management experience
  • Ability to build rapport with VMOs and staff
  • Commitment to improvement and excellence in the delivery of outcomes
  • OHS responsibility and leadership in risk minimisation
  • Ongoing activity analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage resources and experience in implementing sustainable change
