Risk and Compliance Professional

Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Risk and Compliance team as a Risk and Compliance Advisor.

This exciting opportunity exists for someone who is passionate about risk management and compliance, with a strong background in audit, quality assurance and risk management.

As a Risk and Compliance Advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that our business operations are compliant with regulatory requirements and industry standards. You will also be involved in developing and maintaining risk and governance frameworks, and overseeing all risk management activity, compliance auditory activity (regulatory and contractually), both internal and external.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Fulfilling and delivering audit activity in accordance with the annual audit program and Worksafe Victoria's compliance, legislative and regulatory obligations;">
• Engaging with business stakeholders to communicate audit findings, results and observations;">
• Engaging with the business to develop remediation actions to address audit findings and control deficiencies;">
• Engaging with the business to perform Best Practice Reviews to delivery optimised business outcomes and to reduce risks;">
• Advising upon risk enquiries and promoting a positive risk-aware and compliance-oriented culture for GB;">
• Supporting and collaborating with the National Risk, Audit and Compliance Team with ongoing support and coverage for other assigned audit activity as required;">
• Proactively identifying potential areas of risk (i.e. financial, reputation, fraud, breaches or contractual) and communicating risks to business risk owners and the Risk & Compliance Manager;">
• Actively collaborating with, and providing support to, regulatory bodies and external stakeholders;">
• Previous experience in a compliance, audit, quality assurance and risk management role is highly desirable, OR previous experience in a claims management role, such as workers compensation, life insurance, superannuation, disability cover, etc; Demonstrated success in embedding a risk and compliance aware culture and a continuous improvement culture; Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of organisation; Strong reporting skills, with a high level of attention to detail; Ability to read and interpret different legislation, regulation and contracts; Excellent time management skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.">
