Therapeutic Community Lead

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Therapeutic Community Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily functioning of the Therapeutic Community, providing leadership and support to staff and residents, and ensuring a safe and inclusive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide orientation, training, and work direction to resident workers.
  • Oversee the operation of the residence in the absence of the manager or as directed.
  • Ensure that wellness checks and security checks are completed to standard.
  • Case management: assist residents with income assistance applications, obtaining identification, housing applications, etc.
  • Assist with the intake and discharge of residents.
  • Provide emotional support and feedback to residents.
  • Administer medication to clients in accordance with established policy.
  • Maintain reports such as statistics, logbooks, and daily activities on residents.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess a diploma in a related human/social services field and have a minimum of two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of housing agencies and support agencies in the community.
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work full-time shifts of 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts (Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights).
