Job Title: Experienced Stonemason

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced stonemason to join our team at ML CROWSTON PTY LTD. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in stonemasonry, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Perform all aspects of stonemasonry work, including cutting, shaping, and installing natural stone materials such as granite, marble, and limestone.
  • Interpret architectural drawings and specifications to ensure accurate execution of project requirements.
  • Use hand and power tools, including chisels, hammers, and grinders, to shape and finish stone surfaces to the desired specifications.
  • Mix and apply mortar, grout, and other adhesives to securely bond stone elements together.
  • Install and repair stone structures, including walls, floors, countertops, and decorative features, with precision and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other tradespeople to coordinate work activities and ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations at all times, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Mentor and train junior stonemasons and apprentices to develop their skills and knowledge in the field.

**Qualifications and Skills:**

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as a stonemason in the construction or landscaping industry.
  • Proficiency in working with a variety of natural stone materials and techniques, including cutting, shaping, and finishing.
  • Strong knowledge of stonemasonry tools and equipment, with the ability to operate them safely and effectively.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity, with the ability to perform intricate and detailed work.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

**Remuneration:**

$72,500.00 – $75,000.00 per year + super
