Palliative Care Clinical Lead Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Palliative Care Clinical Lead to join our dynamic team at Auburn Hospital.

As a Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in driving quality improvement and evidence-based care initiatives within the Supportive & Palliative Care team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert clinical advice and consultancy in palliative and supportive care
  • Leading and participating in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives
  • Delivering education, mentorship and clinical support to multidisciplinary teams
  • Initiating and participating in clinical research, service planning and strategic initiatives

You will be working in a contemporary public hospital within Western Sydney LHD, supporting a team-based environment with a strong patient-centred care focus.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead service improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives, while working collaboratively in a dynamic healthcare setting.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of five years full-time equivalent post-registration experience in the speciality field of Palliative Care, Cancer Care, Advanced or Aged Care Nursing
  • Postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field or other qualifications/experience deemed appropriate by the organisation
  • Demonstrated experience in policy, procedures and education program development, implementation, review and redevelopment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work independently and develop/maintain professional relationships and networks across multiple disciplines
