This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead clinical consultancy in palliative care at our hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver expert clinical advice and consultancy in palliative and supportive care.
  • Lead and participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
  • Provide education, mentorship and clinical support to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Initiate and participate in clinical research, service planning and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive practice improvement and lead clinical reviews across acute care services.

The ideal candidate will be able to provide expert clinical guidance, facilitate collaborative working and drive forward-thinking solutions that improve patient outcomes. You will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality results, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.

As a Clinical Nurse Consultant in Palliative Care, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of healthcare and contributing to improving patient experiences.

Requirements
  • Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Minimum five (5) years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, with at least three (3) years' experience in a specialty field in either Palliative Care, Cancer Care, Advanced or Aged Care Nursing.
  • Postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which you are appointed or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
