About the Role:
Auburn Hospital seeks a skilled Clinical Nurse Consultant to lead clinical consultancy in supportive and palliative care. As a pivotal leader, you will drive quality improvement and evidence-based care initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert clinical advice and consultancy in palliative and supportive care.
- Lead and participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
- Provide education, mentorship, and clinical support to multidisciplinary teams.
- Initiate and participate in clinical research, service planning, and strategic initiatives.
- Drive practice improvement and lead clinical reviews across acute care services.
Requirements:
- Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Minimum five (5) years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, with at least three (3) years in the speciality field in Palliative Care, Cancer Care, Advanced or Aged Care Nursing.
- Postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field or other qualifications/experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in policy, procedures, and education programme development, implementation, review, and redevelopment.
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work independently and develop/maintain professional relationships and networks across multiple disciplines.
- Knowledge of and ability to utilise information technology skills.
- Ability to assess, plan, initiate, and manage complex cases, and work to goals and targets.
