
High-Quality Clinical Consultant in Palliative Care

This leadership role is a key part of the Supportive and Palliative Care Service at a major hospital. The successful candidate will lead clinical consultancy, drive quality improvement initiatives, and provide expert palliative care services to patients with life-limiting illnesses.
Duties and Responsibilities- Lead clinical consultancy in supportive and palliative care
- Drive quality improvement and evidence-based care initiatives
- Provide education, mentorship, and clinical support to multidisciplinary teams
- Initiate and participate in clinical research, service planning, and strategic initiatives
- Enhance patient care and support clinicians
- Registration: Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum five years full-time equivalent post-registration experience in a specialty field, including palliative care, cancer care, advanced or aged care nursing
- Postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and develop/maintain professional relationships and networks across multiple disciplines
