Job Description

This role involves providing high-quality support to children in our care, working closely with them to achieve positive outcomes.

You will be responsible for day-to-day care, including helping with daily routines, preparing meals, and engaging in activities that promote their well-being.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who have experienced trauma and have developed strategies to manage challenging behaviors.

A strong emphasis is placed on building rapport and collaborating effectively with children and their families to achieve the best possible results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to children in line with their needs and goals
  • Develop and implement programs to promote the children's physical, emotional, and social well-being
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with children, families, and internal/external stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records and progress notes
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certificate in Community or Children's Services (advantageous but not essential)
  • Ability to build rapport with children through shared interests and activities
  • A current Senior First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain during background checks)
  • A current unrestricted Driver's License
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
