Operational Risk Specialist Role

This is a 15-month fixed-term contract to provide tailored support in first-line defence risk capabilities for the business to effectively identify and manage operational risk.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating periodic risk assessments, supporting control owners to uplift the design and operating effectiveness of the control environment.
  • Assisting in identifying and capturing incidents, performing risk assessments, root cause analysis and developing action plans.
  • Tracking and managing all open action items, providing guidance and support to address.
  • Maintaining a register of vendors and contracts.
  • Supporting the team in preparing risk reporting, governance forums and analysis.

To be successful you will have relevant tertiary qualifications, understanding of operational risk management frameworks, strong stakeholder experience, financial acumen, commercial thinking, excellent written and verbal communication, ability to work independently, project and time management, and intermediate Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
