Job Title: Application Support Specialist

This is a highly skilled technical role that requires strong expertise in supporting and maintaining business-critical applications. As an Application Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing timely support to IT application-related incidents, service requests, and problems.


Main Responsibilities
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting IT application issues, ensuring they are resolved efficiently and effectively
  • Employing best practice maintenance, support, and incident management processes to maintain IT applications
  • Providing regular updates to users on the status of their service requests and incidents
  • Liaising with IT suppliers to resolve IT application-related issues promptly and professionally

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in IT or a related field, with a focus on ITIL practices
  • At least 4 years' experience in the IT industry, with a minimum of 2 years in complex IT environments
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in supporting Windows operating systems and technical support of business systems, including client-server applications, web applications, third-party software, middleware, and Microsoft 365 services
  • Familiarity with industry standards for service management, including incident management and change management
