Windows 11 Testing Specialist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Windows 11 Testing Specialist to support and execute structured testing activities for a large-scale desktop and systems upgrade.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for Windows 11 deployment, perform functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT), conduct hardware and software compatibility testing across laptops, desktops, and peripherals, validate policies, security settings, and system behaviours post-upgrade (GPOs, BitLocker, Defender, etc.), and test application packaging and deployment using SCCM, Intune, or similar tools.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • At least 3 years of experience in desktop operating system testing within enterprise environments; experience in public sector settings is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in test preparation, execution, and end-to-end test lifecycle.
  • A strong understanding of Windows 10 and 11, upgrade paths, and group policy testing.
  • Experience with tools such as TestRail, Azure DevOps, JIRA, or HP ALM.
  • Knowledge of enterprise IT ecosystems including Active Directory, SCCM, Intune, application packaging.
  • The ability to script and automate basic test routines (PowerShell or similar scripting).
  • Strong attention to detail, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver within tight timeframes and in coordination with cross-functional teams.

Must be an Australian Citizen, located in or able to travel to Sydney under a hybrid work model. For this position we are looking for someone who can handle the below tasks: Test planning and execution, Troubleshooting, Analyzing and reporting defects, Maintaining detailed test documentation including scripts, summary reports, and traceability matrices, Validating policies, security settings, and system behaviors post-upgrade, Testing application packaging and deployment, Working closely with infrastructure and support teams to troubleshoot and resolve upgrade issues.
