Safety and Compliance Specialist

About the Role:
Cement Australia is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join our team in Dandenong. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a pivotal role in creating and maintaining a safe, healthy, productive, and sustainable workplace.
Your Key Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting line leadership to implement and maintain our Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality Management System (CA SHEQMS)
- Maintaining a detailed understanding of safety and health regulatory requirements and keeping line leadership informed of developments
- Providing advice and support to develop and implement site-specific processes, systems, work instructions, and documentation
- Supporting internal audits and conducting local audits and inspections to identify compliance and effectiveness
- Engaging with workers, HSRs, SHE Committee members, and line leaders to promote a safety-first culture
About You:
We are looking for someone with extensive experience in a safety operational role, preferably in transportation, waste, manufacturing, and/or mining. You will have a strong understanding of workplace health and safety legislation and a relevant degree or diploma. Cert IV training and assessment, Lead Auditor, ICAM Investigation, and Return to Work Coordinator qualifications are desirable.
