Disability Support Specialist

Job Summary:
This role involves providing individualized support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they have equal access to their coursework.
The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with teaching staff and student support services to create an inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-class assistance and individual support to students with disabilities
- Assist with learning activities, note-taking, scribing, or the use of adaptive technology
- Work closely with teaching staff to develop and implement tailored learning plans
- Maintain accurate records of support provided
- Promote inclusive practices across the learning environment

You are a compassionate and adaptable individual with a strong commitment to accessibility and inclusion in education.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities (preferably in an educational setting)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A relevant qualification in disability support, education, or a related field (desirable)
