Job Overview

As a Disability Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to clients with complex needs, helping them to achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet and assess clients to understand their problems, needs, and goals
  • Develop personalized care plans that meet each client's unique needs and wishes
  • Coordinate services and resources to support clients in achieving their goals
  • Manage budgets and finances to ensure effective use of resources
  • Deliver and monitor services to provide medical and daily living support
  • Solve problems promptly and effectively when issues arise
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to relevant policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other professionals and organizations to achieve shared goals
  • Support independence and community participation by teaching clients life skills
  • Lead and train staff to deliver high-quality care
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to improve skills and knowledge

This is a full-time position based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of the NDIS and disability industry, as well as experience working in a related role. They will also possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
