Disability Support Specialist

We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Specialist to join our team. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will work with adults and children in community settings, supporting them and those around them to live more empowered lives.

  • Conduct assessments and planning with NDIS participants, families and carers.
  • Develop and implement positive behaviour support plans.
  • Promote the elimination of restrictive practices through education and practical strategies.
  • Work collaboratively to build capacity in families, carers, and support networks.
  • Act as a role model for best-practice service delivery.
  • Be part of a multidisciplinary team with a shared mission to make a difference.

  • Providing individualised support to clients with complex needs.
  • Working closely with other professionals to develop and implement comprehensive support plans.
  • Collaborating with families, carers, and support networks to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience working within the NDIS framework.
  • Qualified Behaviour Support Practitioners or professionals with extensive experience in the disability sector.
  • Passion for supporting individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
  • Strong report writing skills and the ability to translate assessment findings into clear, actionable plans.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
