Building Certification Professional

We are seeking a skilled Building Certification Professional to join our team.

  • Undertake building certification responsibilities for the local government area, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and legislation.
  • Provide technical advice and support to stakeholders, promoting excellent customer service and stakeholder engagement.
  • Assess and manage construction certificates, complying development certificates, and Occupation Certificates, demonstrating expertise in applying relevant certification standards and legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accreditation as a Building Surveyor – Restricted (all classes of building) or higher, in accordance with the Building and Development Certifiers Act 2018.
  • Apply relevant certification standards and legislation, including the National Construction Code, Local Government Act, Swimming Pools Act, and NSW Environmental Planning legislation.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service, providing strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Support team members, demonstrating advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
