Child Protection Specialist

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Child Protection Specialist, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with other agencies to provide support services for vulnerable individuals and families
  • Develop and implement safety plans to protect high-risk clients and their families
  • Work sensitively and respectfully with parents, family members, children or young people to address their needs and concerns
  • Manage complex cases and situations, including those involving court processes
  • Assist families in achieving their goals by providing appropriate assistance through home visits
Requirements:
  • Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Science or Welfare (or related field)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships
  • A valid driver's licence (P1 or above) and a paid working with children clearance number
