At SOS Recruitment, we are seeking an experienced Senior Client Engagement Officer to join our client's team in Canberra. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for engaging with clients to ensure effective service at all stages of the process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage and build rapport with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.
  • Undertake assessments of applications for housing assistance.
  • Match resources to client's needs and circumstances.
  • Apply legislation and policy within a human services environment.
  • Provide clients with timely information and referrals.
  • Prepare written material related to assessments, resource allocation, and decision making.
  • Maintain sound record keeping practices.
  • Represent the department in government and community forums.

Requirements:

  • Current Drivers Licence.
  • Prior to commencing, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 will be required.
  • Experience in client services and administration.
  • Experience in using a range of IT business and office applications.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Community Development, or a related field.
