About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to fill the role of After-Hours Coordinator at Seymour Health. This position is responsible for overseeing the operations of the health service outside of normal business hours, including emergency management response.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively manage nursing staff and other personnel to ensure safe and high-quality service delivery across the organization.
  • Provide clinical support as required in the Acute, Aged Care, and Urgent Care settings.
  • Respond to, investigate, and follow up on incident reports in a timely manner.
  • Identify mandatory reporting requirements and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Manage clinical and non-clinical roster shortfalls and ensure compliance with the Safe Patient Care Act 2015.
  • Manage emergency situations in a calm and efficient manner, ensuring the safety of all staff and consumers.
  • Support an organizational culture that reflects Seymour Health's values and behaviors.

  • Experience in negotiating and resolving workplace conflicts in a professional and sensitive manner.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to quality improvement activities and participation in departmental accreditation processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in policy review and revision.
  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to supervise a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide advanced clinical support and mentorship to nursing staff.
  • The ability to respond to and manage emergency situations.
  • A valid Police Check and Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain.
