About The RoleWe are currently seeking an experienced Access Coordinator or a qualified Electrician looking for an opportunity to be trained as a Transmission and Distribution Operator, from our Bendigo, Rowville depot. The position is required to effectively manage network access and outages through the preparation of appropriate paperwork to the network authority in order to enable safe and effective field workforce.
Key Responsibilities Include- Network Access Management: Prepare applications for network outages, including work clearance applications, application writing, switching instructions, system outage requests, and vicinity access applications.
- Transmission and Distribution Operations: Effectively operate on transmission & sub-transmission apparatus.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas of continuous improvements to help provide a more cost-effective and higher quality product to both internal and external clients.
- Quality Control: Ensure the implementation of the agreed quality control measures and provide high-level advice and support to team members in undertaking tasks and implementing plans as required.
- Site Visits: Visit sites as required to assess the most safe and efficient delivery methodology, identify risks, and prepare mitigation strategies.
- Customer and Business Management: Manage customer expectations and the needs of the business.
The successful candidate is required to display a positive customer and team focus, work effectively, participate in identifying workplace change or productivity improvements, while maintaining a high level of health and safety.
- Extensive Knowledge: Extensive working knowledge of construction, maintenance, planning/scheduling work, and operational techniques and standards as applied to electrical networks.
- Switching Instructions: Experience in the preparation and lodgement of switching instructions.
- Network Understanding: An understanding of Victorian Electrical Distribution, Transmission and Sub Transmission Networks and VESI requirements and HSEQ issues as they relate to electrical operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Flexibility: Flexibility to work after hours as required.
- Qualifications: Trade Qualification/Cert III Power and current Australian driver's licence.
