Situated in western Tasmania, this hard rock mining site features a well-equipped camp with high-quality dining facilities.

Work Schedule and Options

For those seeking a stable long-term position, the site offers the following arrangements:

  • FIFO from any major eastern city with travel covered by the company
  • DIDO from various locations in Tasmania
  • Flexible roster options for DIDO or FIFO (choose between 12:9 or 8:6)
  • Relocation support including flights, storage, and transportation of one vehicle
  • Residential arrangements for those willing to move to the local area (9-day fortnight)

Role Responsibilities

Reporting to the Resource Development and Planning Manager, this position is responsible for supervising the Production Geology team within the Resource Department. Key responsibilities include:

  • Aligning geological tasks with mining plans on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Establishing standards for geological data management, ensuring all necessary information is documented
  • Maintaining geological data requirements for stope reviews and reconciliations
  • Compiling geological data for production reporting
  • Conducting monthly mine-to-mill reconciliations
  • Identifying areas for improvement in existing systems and processes
  • Fostering a strong safety culture within the Production Geology team
  • Ensuring compliance with directives from the Resource Development and Planning Manager

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates should possess experience in a metalliferous underground mining environment, along with the following qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Geology
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Deswik
  • Valid C-Class Driver's License
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
