Current Opportunity

We are seeking a Geologist to join our CSG Subsurface team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysis and maintenance of geological data, designing and implementing drilling programs, and providing technically robust geological advice and interpretations.

The Geologist will work closely with production, drilling, and reservoir engineers, geologists, geophysicists, environmental scientists, and hydrogeologists to provide geological support to producing fields. Key accountabilities include:

  • Providing geological support to producing fields
  • Designing and implementing geological data acquisition, analysis programs, and operational decisions
  • Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of Field Development plans
  • Generating in-field opportunities and well proposals for additional appraisal and development wells
  • Reporting on technical studies and presenting to management, partners, and Government bodies

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Geology or related geological tertiary qualifications
  • 5+ years' experience working in the CSG industry, with Surat & Bowen Basin experience essential
  • Strong computational and analytical skills, including working in petrotechnical software
  • Experience in projects and operations geology, with a strong understanding of subsurface workflows, risk, uncertainty, and petrophysics
  • Practiced in handling and interpreting large data sets, applying digital solutions/tools
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
