Community Support Worker

This role supports individuals experiencing homelessness by providing access to essential services, resources, and referrals.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Community Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with clients to understand their unique needs and provide tailored support to help them achieve stability and self-sufficiency.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing information and referrals to community resources, including housing, healthcare, and social services
  • Assisting clients with daily tasks, such as accessing food, hygiene facilities, and other basic needs
  • Supporting clients in developing coping strategies and connecting them with mental health and addiction services
  • Maintaining accurate records of client interactions and progress

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A diploma in a related human services field, such as social work or counseling
  • Current First Aid certification
  • One year of recent experience working with marginalized populations, preferably in a community setting
