Job Overview

We are seeking a visionary leader to head our workforce development division. This is an exciting opportunity to lead strategic initiatives that build capability, foster inclusive leadership, and drive a values-based culture across the organisation.

This role involves designing and delivering forward-thinking organisational development strategies that align with both departmental and whole-of-government priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Workforce Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive workforce plans that address current and future needs.
  • Leadership Development: Design and deliver training programs that enhance leadership capabilities and promote a values-based culture.
  • Workforce Management: Oversee critical workforce functions, including recruitment, employment contracts, and governance of the Human Capital Management System (HCMS).
Requirements
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated experience delivering complex organisational development strategies in large or government environments.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a collaborative leadership style.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: A deep understanding of diversity and inclusion principles, including experience implementing Aboriginal workforce strategies.
  • Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of learning and development methodologies, digital learning platforms, and leadership development.
