About the Role

Our organization is working to establish mental health, alcohol and other drug systems that meet the needs of Western Australia's population. We are looking for a Community Support Coordinator who will play a vital role in engaging, supporting and guiding stakeholders and communities to develop evidence-based prevention strategies.

  • Reduce identified Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) harm
  • Reduce incidence of suicide and suicide attempts
  • Create mentally healthy communities

The position also supports and assists the Community Support and Development Manager by working with them to coordinate and assist in the daily operations of the team.

In undertaking this role, you will need to recognize that there is a commitment to focussing on the needs of the community working in partnership for better AOD and mental health outcomes.

You will have the opportunity to work with a team that commissions, provides and partners in the delivery of:

  • Person-centred and evidence-based prevention, promotion and early intervention programs;
  • Treatment, services and supports; and
  • Research, policy and system improvements
