Role Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Coordinator to facilitate group activities, including art therapy, mindfulness, and peer support groups.

  • Lead art therapy and creative workshops
  • Organize and deliver mindfulness, social, and wellbeing programs
  • Support Hearing Voices Network (HVN) peer groups to create a safe space for individuals to share their experiences
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Promote participation and connection in a supportive environment

Requirements:

  • Qualifications And Certificate: Current National Police Clearance Certificate, valid First Aid and CPR Certificate, current working with Children Check, and current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Skills And Experience: passion for mental health, creativity, and group coordination; strong communication and empathy skills; reliability and teamwork
  • Desirable: lived experience of mental health recovery or as family members of people with a lived experience of recovery is desirable
  • Attitude: positive attitude towards individuals experiencing mental distress, ability to live RW values in all tasks and interactions, pro-active individual who is enthusiastic and committed to upholding RW values and principles
