Compliance Lead Role

The role of Compliance Lead is a key position within our organisation, responsible for championing our compliance culture.

The successful candidate will design, implement and continuously improve risk management frameworks and compliance systems, providing expert advice, leading internal audits and delivering training to build a strong culture of accountability and continuous improvement across the organisation.

  • Develop and review compliance frameworks and risk management processes.
  • Monitor and audit services to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance matters, complaints and incidents.
  • Manage the organisational risk register.
  • Prepare the organisation for audits, assessments and regulatory reviews.
  • Deliver compliance and risk training to build staff capability.
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies, external auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • Promote a proactive risk culture and encourage incident reporting.
  • Provide governance reports for the Executive and Board.
  • Oversee business continuity and crisis management planning.
  • Ensure third-party and contract compliance obligations are met.

Requirements for this role include:

  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Law, Risk Management, Compliance or a related field.
  • Significant experience in a risk and compliance role within a regulatory environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and training delivery skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong time management.

Desirable qualifications for this role include:

  • Knowledge of National Law, National Regulations and WHS standards in the childcare sector.
  • Experience in related sectors such as aged care or community services.

Conditions of employment for this role include:

  • Australian Residency or unrestricted work visa.
  • National Police Clearance (within 3 months, or willingness to obtain).
  • Current Working with Children Card (or willingness to obtain).
