About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Leader to join our team at Atlassian. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing a team of accountants in different geographies and partnering with various departments to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Management: Lead a team of accountants in different geographies, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of accounting tasks.
  • Process Improvement: Partner with compensation, benefits, payroll operations, and general accounting to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and thorough financial reporting, including month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and quarterly flux analysis.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and maintain a strong internal control environment to prevent control-related deficiencies.

Requirements

  • Experience: 8 years of accounting experience, including leadership of month-end close process.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Internal Control Mindset: Experience with internal controls and a strong understanding of financial processes.

What We Offer

At Atlassian, we offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $130,700 - $174,200, depending on location. We also offer a range of benefits, including health coverage, paid volunteer days, and wellness resources.
