Animal Nutrition Specialist Role
We are seeking a motivated and personable animal nutrition specialist to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our animal feed range, as well as providing expert nutritional advice to farmers.
The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in ruminant nutrition and performance, and be confident in a sales environment. You will spend your time building strong relationships with dairy farmers, offering practical solutions, and working with them to optimise feed strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visit farms across your region to promote and sell our animal feed range
- Provide related nutritional advice to farmers
- Deliver budgeted profit and sales target for the allocated region
- Keep up to date with industry trends and product knowledge
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
- Implement long term marketing strategies to maximise brand awareness
Requirements:
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Sales experience – preferably in agriculture and direct to farm
- Knowledge of ruminant nutrition and farming practices (desirable)
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own territory
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen
- Tertiary qualifications in a business/commerce related discipline desirable
