Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a driven Senior Account Manager Agronomy to join our team in Melbourne. The focus of your role will be to develop strong customer relationships and provide agronomic and technical support to farmers and producers.

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will:

  • Gain exposure to an agriculture area with broadacre cropping.
  • Engage and work alongside a team within an established business, servicing the needs of cutting-edge farmers and producers.
  • Responsibility for increasing the productivity, profitability, and sustainability of farming enterprises.
  • Build solid and long-term client relationships, and develop a strong understanding of the clients' business goals and share technical and market information to enable clients to improve the performance and sustainability of their farming enterprises.
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers, with room to target new clients through the provision of superior sales and agronomic input.
  • Stay up to date with latest plant production practices together with running and coordinating field days and farmer meetings.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum 4-5 years building enduring and successful partnerships with customers, delivering appropriate agronomic advice and service.
  • History of success in executing sales outcomes using specialist knowledge of fertiliser, seed and chemical products and application applicable to those crops grown in the region.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.
  • A tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field and a current driver's license is essential.
  • Your experience in an agronomic advisory role related to agricultural chemicals and fertiliser will secure this rewarding role.
