Key to success in our dynamic livestock division is expert advice on Livestock, Nutrition / Breeding, Production Improvements and Distribution efficiencies.

We are seeking a highly skilled Agricultural Consultant to work with our team based in Dandenong. This role provides critical guidance on cattle performance during transportation, data collection and analysis of various factors affecting production and the development of operational strategies to mitigate the effects of fires, floods, droughts and soil erosion.

The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with livestock managers and stockmen to improve cattle performance during transportation, investigating and implementing management procedures to cope with environmental challenges and ensuring that our livestock backgrounding operations herd meet feedlot commitments across various states.

Requirements:

- Master of Agricultural Sciences (Agribusiness) / Bachelor of Agriculture (Animal Science) or equivalent

- 4+ years' experience in Beef Livestock Ecology, Animal Genetics, Feed Additives, Animal Reproduction & Breeding, Animal Nutrition, Feed Quality Evaluation and Safety Determination, Cattle Production and possess an Animal Welfare skillset

- Excellent communication and reporting skills

- Demonstrated ability to lead projects to deliver specified goals

- Innovative research demonstrated through past experience and track record
