Agricultural Specialist Opportunity

Drive the growth of our agricultural business by providing technical expertise and exceptional customer service.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the rural products sales team and oversee this function within the branch.

  • Advising clients on techniques for improving crop and livestock production, and alternative agricultural options
  • Collecting and analysing data and samples of produce, feed, soil and other factors affecting production
  • Advising clients on issues such as crop disease, control of pests and weeds, soil improvement
  • Studying the effects of cultivation techniques, soils, insects and plant diseases on animal, crop and forest production
  • Manage branch retail operations to exceed targets and monitor rural products performance against key metrics
  • Source new business opportunities to expand market share and assist in setting retail sales targets and business planning
  • Provide product expertise, oversee sales transactions, and coach the sales team to achieve individual and branch targets while supporting national initiatives

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Agronomy or related field
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of agriculture products and clients' current and future needs, the region and competitors
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication and customer service skills, along with basic computer skills
  • Drivers license; Forklift and HR Truck license preferred
