This role is part of a Department focused on supporting children and young people, aiming to ensure every child in Tasmania is known, safe, well, and learning. The department prioritizes the child's needs at its core.
About the RoleTo engage with parents and carers of Aboriginal children from birth to four years old to support their education. This position will contribute to improved kindergarten enrolment and attendance by providing knowledge and skills for enhanced parental support, preparing children for school entry.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting parents and carers in understanding and enhancing their children's education from birth to four years old.
- Contributing to increased kindergarten enrolment and attendance among Aboriginal children.
- Providing resources and guidance to parents to better prepare their children for school entry.
Essential Requirements:
- Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment)
- Aboriginality: Determined as an Aboriginal identified position and to be filled in accordance with Ministerial Direction No.10 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Employment in the State Service.
Desirable Requirements:
- A Current Driver's License.
