The Clinical Nurse Specialist - CAMHS position is a vital part of our mental health service, providing specialist care to children and families.
This role requires a Registered Nurse with experience in an area relevant to the role, including postgraduate qualifications or working towards a postgraduate qualification. The successful applicant will be able to work effectively in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary framework, promoting community awareness in relation to mental health.
As part of the Head to Health Kids team, the Clinical Nurse Specialist - CAMHS will undertake assessments, care planning and delivery of individual and group secondary level mental health interventions to children and families. They will also develop and support collaborative care partnerships with service providers across primary health, child health and parenting, paediatrics, child safety, education, and early childhood programs and services.
Duties for this role include delivering specialist services to clients of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, Adult Community, Inpatient and Extended Treatment, ward 4K Launceston General Hospital. This includes administering an advanced clinical practice framework for the management of clients with complex needs.

- Undertake assessments, care planning and delivery of individual and group secondary level mental health interventions to children and families
