About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Learning and Development Specialist to join our People, Culture & Governance (PC&G) Team at Bridgestone Mining Solutions Australia (BMSA). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and delivering learning experiences that drive business outcomes and support the growth of our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive learning strategy that aligns with the business objectives of BMSA and Otraco.
  • Design and deliver training programs that focus on values, strategic imperatives, upskilling requirements, core skills, and online learning.
  • Provide guidance and support to leaders across the organization on operational training needs and compliance management.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to design and deliver solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Conduct yearly training needs analysis to inform the creation of an enterprise-wide L&D strategy.
  • Develop a range of enterprise-based learning solutions in partnership with subject matter experts from various areas of the business.
  • Design, develop, and deliver soft skills programs across the enterprise.
  • Support the delivery of agreed BMSA and Otraco programs, including distributing communications, program management, and recording of completed training and competencies.
  • Manage the development planning process out of the performance review process.
  • Source external training opportunities for employees as needed.
  • Undertake other L&D-related activities as directed.
About You
  • You have a proven track record of experience in learning project management and consulting.
  • You have experience working in a large operational organization with a diverse workforce.
  • You have an appetite to get out to site and to our branches to experience firsthand what we do so that we can deliver impactful solutions.
  • You have a Cert IV in Training & Assessing or equivalent.
  • You have 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • You have demonstrated experience with training records management, compliance, and auditing.
  • You have an understanding of RTOs and associated programs, qualifications, and governance requirements.
  • You have proficiency and knowledge of working with various learning management systems.
  • You are a solutions-oriented individual who can respond to a rapidly changing environment.
  • You are a relationship builder who can communicate at all levels.
  • You have an understanding of Centres of Excellence and how they can support and drive outcomes.
