About the RoleThe Iron Ore Operations Manager will lead a high-performing team of production supervisors, mine operators, and maintenance personnel to achieve targets within our operations. With a focus on safety, productivity, and cost reduction, you will motivate, inspire, and keep your people safe and well.
Key Responsibilities- Implement production operation plans to maximize productivity while minimizing cost and environmental impact
- Work closely with Load & Haul, Mine Planning, and Maintenance teams to ensure mine plan is met and balancing competing priorities to achieve site targets
- Complete daily inspections of the pit and drive a positive safety culture with your team
- Build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders to align on operational plans and strategies
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Respect for others and an all-inclusive mindset
- Prior experience in a mining production environment
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities to deliver solutions across an operation
