Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Administrator to manage contract administration processes from start to finish. This is a critical role that will contribute significantly to the success of our projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare RFQs, subcontractor & supplier contracts. Negotiate contract terms with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor, review, and update existing contract templates. Ensure key stakeholders understand and comply with company contracts.
  • Analyze potential risks involved with specific contract terms.
  • Provide ongoing support for project teams on day-to-day management of contracts and understanding of scope of works.
  • Act as primary company contact for contractual matters on projects.
  • Prepare variation proposals in conjunction with Project Managers. Prepare contractual notices in conjunction with the site team.
  • Oversee work by contractors and ensure accurate reporting on variations to work orders.
  • Assess and verify accuracy of variation claims from subcontractors.
  • Responsible for preparing and managing head contract claims in accordance with contract and relevant legislation (progress claims, variations, EOT claims, Latent Conditions claims).
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and ability to stay up-to-date with legislative changes.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly cost reports and status reports. Ensure advice is provided to senior management on matters requiring attention and implement their decisions.
  • Maintain organized records.
  • Assist in preparation and management of project budgets and forecasts with strong comprehension of associated software.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in law, commerce, construction management, quantity surveying or engineering.
  • 3-5 years in a Contracts Administrator or similar role in construction.
  • Experience in preparing, negotiating, and managing contracts.
  • Proven track record in managing progress claims and variations.
  • Experience with project budgeting, forecasts, and cost reporting.
  • Familiar with contract compliance and legislative requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction contracts and compliance.
  • Strong contract management and negotiation skills.
